      <p>De opmaak van de borden en het dessert is beter geweest. Zeker met de nieuwe setting is dat soort een tegenvaller. Het eten is goed. Bij de voorgerechten de proeverij een aanrader.</p>

      <p>Vanavond met 6 personen heerlijk gegeten in de serre. Dit is zeker een aanrader voor iedereen. 
<br />Gezellig en vriendelijk personeel. 
<br />Wij hebben gekozen voor een 3 gangen menu voor €19,95. 
<br />Genoeg keus. Zowel in voor, hoofd en nagerecht. 
<br />Wij gaan hier zeker terug komen.</p>

      <p>Als voorgerecht namen wij de proeverij, die ons erg goed beviel. De Bavette was erg lekker bereid. Het personeel was gastvrij en bijzonder vriendelijk. Wij hebben erg genoten bij 't Gelagh en komen zeker terug!</p>

      <p>Zaterdagavond heb ik gegeten bij 't Gelagh. De zaak wat erg netjes en sfeervol. De gerechten vielen goed in de smaak en met name was de risotto verrassend lekker. Ook was het Grand Dessert een heerlijk nagerecht, want de witte chocolademousse was zeer smaakvol. De serveersters waren erg enthousiast en gastvrij. Het toilet was niet goed aangegeven, maar mij werd netjes de weg gewezen. Het toilet zag er verder wel netjes uit. Ik heb een prettige avond gehad bij 't Gelagh en ik raad het zeker aan!</p>

      <p>Bediening prima, sfeer ook prima. Alleen wij hadden echt gigantische borden vol eten, het leek er op of ze er vanaf moesten. Ik vind de menu kaart ook een beetje tegenvallen, niks bijzonders, vooral bij het hoofdgerecht. Het eten is voornamelijk smakeloos.  Geen tweede keer voor mij in ieder geval</p>

      <p>Vandaag weer eens een hapje gaan eten met 2 personen na een lange tijd er niet geweest te zijn. Werden erg vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen een tafel toegewezen. Netjes en snel een drankje en een mandje brood met heerlijk warm brood zo uit de oven. 2 carpaccio's besteld die goed op smaak waren en 1x het gelagh van de dag en de pasta met scampi's. Heerlijke gerechten en mooi gepresenteerd. Wordt aandacht aan besteed en dat viel te zien. Afgesloten met een bak koffie en een grand dessert.</p>

<p>Kortom voor de prijs een aanrader. Personeel heeft verstand van zaken en de prijs kwaliteit is uitmuntend te noemen. Je verwacht voor dat geld niet heel veel, maar mag gezegd worden dat het een pluim verdient.</p>

      <p>Om kwart voor 7 waren we binnen en om kwart voor 8 kregen we ons voorgerecht pas. Daardoor was voor ons de sfeer erg verpest. Het voorgerecht was een proeverij van verschillende hapjes wat erg lekker was. Vervolgens kregen we drie kwartier later pas het hoofdgerecht waarbij een schnitzel met groenten en kip saté waren besteld. De kip was lekker maar de schnitzel was erg flauw en de groenten bestond uit courgette en prei wat dus een tegenvaller was. Het duurde ook heel lang voordat het drinken werd aangevuld. Voor ons is het over het algemeen een slechte ervaring geweest.</p>

      <p>Gisteren met kerst heerlijk genoten. Top kerstmenu, lekker royaal en waar voor je geld! Sfeer was super, geen massa mensen! Alles was vers en heerlijk. Kwaliteit was duidelijk te proeven. 
<br />Als voorgerecht een zalm en heilbot sashimi (?) in ieder geval rauw maar super lekker, was duidelijk vers. Als tussengerecht een bouillon, ook heerlijk alleen was de truffelolie nogal machtig maar niet super storend ofzo. Tonijnsteak bereiden is moeilijk, maar deze was absoluut niet droog en lekker mals. In de gratin mocht wel wat meer room in maar was wel lekker van smaak. De grand dessert was toppie en echt heerlijk dat bestond uit tarte tatin, vers gemaakte kaneelijs (lekker subtiel van smaak), een chocolade mouse, wat dikker van structuur zoals het hoort! Die echt lekker vol van smaak was, en nog een chocoladecakje met aardbeienroomvulling. 
<br />Het Gelagh staat echt voor kwaliteit en dat hebben ze met de kerst ook nog eens bewezen. Heerlijke wijn ook. De dames in de bediening zijn ook erg charmant en aardig, vriendelijk. Zo hoort het! Wat mij betreft de beste in Gorinchem door de bediening, sfeer en het lekker eten wat zowat perfect is, kwaliteit is duidelijk te proeven!</p>

      <p>Ben er gisteren geweest en we waren in overeenstemming dat het werkelijk top was! We gingen allen (vier personen) voor de drie gangen menu die ten eerste bijzonder goed geprijsd is en daarnaast ook erg lekker. Van pasta tot spareribs, alles was lekker, vers en mooi opgemaakt. Bediening was erg vriendelijk! We komen zeker nog een keer terug.</p>

      <p>Een erg gezellig restaurant. Goede en snelle bediening en heerlijke salade's. 
<br />Zeker een aanrader om met een grote groep te eten, je kunt namelijk niet overal tot 30 personen a la carte eten maar hier wel.</p>

      <p>Gemoedelijke sfeervolle inrichting. Bediening van de 3 dames attent tot circa 21.00 uur. Daarna verschillende malen de aandacht moeten trekken. Dat komt mede door een onhandige inrichting van (geluidswerende) schotten rond de bar maar ook omdat personeel aan het einde meer aandacht had voor elkaar. Kwaliteit van het eten is goed (niet top) in relatie tot de prijs.</p>

      <p>Ik ben 2x wezen eten in het Gelach, maar het lachen verging mij snel. De eerste keer had ik de eendenborst die erg taai was, ik heb de helft laten staan. Ook de 2de keer viel me erg tegen. Als je 2x teleurgesteld bent in een eettentje kom je er ook niet meer terug. Jammer want ze hebben wel een smaakpolitie okee sticker.</p>

      <p>Na de verbouwing is de sfeer iets minder geworden, neemt niet weg dat het nog steeds een gezellige tent is waar ik graag ga eten. Vooral het aanbod maaltijdsalades vind ik een groot pluspunt en als het lekker weer is, kun je heerlijk buiten zitten. Ik lunch er liever dan dat ik er diner, omdat ik dat net iets beter vind wat betreft prijs/ kwaliteit.</p>

      <p>Super prijs kwaliteit verhouding, Lunch broodjes zijn echt heerlijk! Altijd goed vers, meermaal voor lunch geweest. Het gelagh is zeker de beste op de markt daar.</p>

<p>Het diner van vorige maand en afgelopen zaterdag ook top! Wegens drukte wel wat lang moeten wachten, maar qua smaak heerlijk!</p>

<p>Het gelagh serveert wel grote porties, of ben ik een kleine eter?</p>

      <p>Ik ben er twee weken wezen eten, in het asperge seizoen en vandaag. Het verschil was er wel degelijk. We moesten dit keer erg lang wachten op het eten. Dit maakt daarentegen niks uit als je het gezellig hebt. De sfeer was dus goed, de service ook. Nu de gangen nog. Als voorgerecht had ik gamba's. Deze kwamen rechtstreeks uit de diepvries en waren dus niet vers. Jammer. Daarna had ik kip. Dit was een simpel gerecht wat in een pannetje zat. De smaak was wel OK, alleen was de roomsaus veel te overheersend. Als dessert had ik de creme brulee. Deze is echter wel aan te bevelen. Mooie subtiele smaken van de kokos en de tonkabonen. Hier miste ik echter wel het zuurtje voor wat verfrissing.</p>

      <p>Twee weken geleden met een groep van 8 man gegeten. Gezellig cafe, zeer vriendelijke bediening. Kwaliteit van het eten is OK. Maar de porties...! We kozen voor een voorgerecht, hoofdgerecht en nagerecht. Toen het voorgerecht arriveerde (met asperges!) dachten we nog aan een vergissing. Een kok die per ongeluk een te groot bord had gepakt en was uitgeschoten. Bij het hoofdgerecht wisten we beter. Veel en veel te veel!</p>

<p>Gevolg: halve borden terug en een smet op een verder prima totaalervaring.</p>

<p>Kom op Gelagh! Dit kan (veel) subtieler!</p>

      <p>We waren hier begin juni, na een volle dag Dordrecht, Slot Loevestein en een staartje Gorinchem. Vooraf hadden we op de Eet.nu site gekeken, waar we eenvoudig maar goed konden eten. Grandcafé 't Gelagh stelde ons wat dat betreft niet teleur; heerlijk, onder de bomen van het sfeervolle plein, gegeten. Duidelijk een van de betere eetcafés. Beetje rommelige bediening dat wel, ook om ons heen zagen we dat, hier en daar gingen er wat bestellingen mis. Het was dan ook heel druk en met wat vriendelijke woorden en een gratis drankje kwam alles goed.</p>

      <p>Vorige week nog gegeten met familie en vrienden.</p>

<p>We hadden gereserveerd, dus konden bij binnenkomst gelijk aan tafel. Doordat het zo druk was duurde het wel even voordat we de kaart kregen. Daar moesten we om vragen. Excuses werden gelijk aangeboden. Kan gebeuren!</p>

<p>Het eten is er heerlijk! Ze hebben ook elke dag weer een ander 'dagmenu', is ook heel leuk.</p>

<p>Personeel ook niks om te klagen, was erg vriendelijk.</p>

<p>Tussendoor even naar buiten om een sigaretje op te steken op het verwarmde(!) terras.</p>
